Tonights feature: SETH TUNA!!!

So a few months back when i was doing the Great Saber build, i was looking around on the web for some inspiration......And low and behold i stumbled upon a fantastic build of a white Saber Tiger. The modeler was named Seth Tuna! But his real name is Tuan Huynh, hailing from Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Thanh District.

This guy has only been seriously painting since 2013........WAIT A MINUTE THATS LAST YEAR!!!  And he is superb at what he does! So lately i been able to speak with him over at Facebook. What a stand up guy. Super polite and respectful and kind. At age 28 he has achieved quite a few knock out builds so far!

Not only can you find his work here and on facebook, Tuan is a administrator on his local forum he and his friends created over in Viet Nam! here is the link: http://suprememecha.blogspot.com/2014/05/msn-04-sinanju-sinx-by-sethtuna.html

You can find his work there along with his fellow admin team and members.  At his blog Supreme Mecha they are encouraging people to step up their game and go all out to become better builders overall. And that is something i can applaud openly.

Well i have talked far too much lets get down to business and see some of Seth Tuna's work.  But one last thought. I have never met Seth till a few days ago. We are separated by thousands of miles.......and really dont know each other that well. But one thing brought us to get to know one another..........THE HOBBY! it shows how really powerful love for ones hobby can be.

So we salute you tonight brother Seth Tuna!

Still tooling around with this kit as always. just wanted to update my youtube channel. so here we are WIP 3! Should only be really room for one or two more updates on this kit. hopefully this weekend will be able to get some serious work done. that is if i don't get caught up in the Destiny beta! man what an addicting game! cant wait for September 9th...you may not see more for a looong time after that game comes out! hehe hopefully not. So this kit will be my entry in the IPMS Fall show for this October 2014 in Vancouver , Canada.

A little masking, a little bit of metallics!

Had a few days off from work and have been trying to get as much work done on the Geara Doga as possible. But here is time for my least favorite and time consuming parts of this hobby. Masking!! i got my fair share during the past builds. i guess i am just getting used to it now. in my opinion it pays off in the end. i do love how the metallics look airbrushed in, rather than hand painted. That is unless you are Tc012009 from Gundam Eclipse. Now that  guy can hand paint some details for sure!

GSB 1/72nd Geara Doga

Been working to get this kit finished so i can start something else. the clean up on this kit has been a lot more extensive than i had originally expected. so many imperfections in the resin i could not see with my naked eye until i had primed them. but the clean up has been working out in the long run. i had run into some issue during assembly with the left leg. some how i managed to snap my wiring to the leg thrusters. so i had to try and take the leg apart while the 2 part epoxy was starting to set up. then i had to solder the wires back together and try and reassemble the kit without making a mess. some how i managed top pull it off without to much errors.
